Statement from Tearfund on Typhoon Mangkhut, Philippines
Typhoon Mangkhut has now left the Philippines, having made landfall in Baggao town of Cagayan province, North Luzon at 1.40 AM on Saturday 15th Sept 2018. So far, reports suggest that at least 591,762 people have been affected, with the number expected to rise as the full impact becomes clearer.

The 25 April 2015 promised to be a good day for Samjana, because she had a day’s work lined up on a local farm. Although low paid, farming work was always welcome – if not always available.
